Afonso is a sound artist who lives in London, UK. Recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on sound for interactive media, he believes that sound changes the point of view of pictures and adds a new dimension to them. During his studies, he developed a particular interest in the Audio-Visual relationship and how sound heightens and modifies the emotional impact of games, film and music.
With a background in sound engineering, his technical abilities allow him to focus and critically analyze the subtle details of soundscapes. From the creation of a sound to its implementation, Afonso is involved with every audio aspect of a project. Successful at collaborating with artistic teams and comfortable working under pressure whilst maintaining high energy, he can be a valuable addition to any team. Fuelled by relentless dedication and creativity, he aspires to work professionally with audio for interactive environments.
